Katie Young is a Calgary-based Hip Hop dancer, teacher, choreographer, and member of The Tomorrows Dance Crew (est.2012). Training in hip hop since the age of 7, performing semi-professionally since the age of 12, and teaching recreational and competitive classes, of all ages and levels, over the last seven years at a private studios. Her training background includes but is not limited to: popping, locking, breaking, house and hip hop. Training with Lenny Len (Toronto) through Flavorshop since 2012, VibetribeYYC since 2014, and with many of the pioneers of these dances such as; Popin Pete, Suga Pop, Mr.Wiggles and Boogaloo Sam of the Electric Boogaloos, Don Campbellock Jr. of the Lockers, Caleaf Sellers and Marjory Smarth of Dance Fusion Crew, Link from Elite Force Crew, YNOT of Rocksteady crew, and The Seven Gems Crew, from 2000-2012. Katie seeks to continue sharing her knowledge, understanding and love of dance and music through teaching and performing.
