Musical Theatre

“For me dance has always been a way of artistic expression and an outlet for my creativity. My primary goal as a dance instructor is to foster these same feelings in those I teach. I have been teaching the art of dance and music to students of all ages since 2010. It is my passion, and I am delighted that I have been able to make a career by teaching others about dance. From the age of three, I was first introduced to dancing and fell in love with it. Then, throughout my childhood, I took dance, voice, and acting lessons. This education includes completing high-level exams in CDTA Jazz and Tap, and RCM voice as well as performing in full length musicals. Later in life, I received a Certificate, Diploma, and Applied Diploma in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) from the Canadian College of Performing Arts. And finally I achieved my professional certification in Ballroom, Latin, Country, and Swing dancing. Since then, I have worked as a dance instructor who shares the joy of dance and theatre with children, choreographs for weddings and even musicals. For instance, in 2016 and 2018, I received the Calgary Acts CAT Award for Outstanding Choreography of a Musical. It was a wonderful experience being a part of these productions, and I hope to continue them due to my love of Musical Theatre. However, my true passion lies within my over twenty years of experience in dance. Working with my students is what makes me rise every day with a smile on my face. Because to me, it is not just a job. It is a way of life that has brought me great joy. My job is to help you fall in love with dancing, whether it is for fun or on the most special day of your life. “
