Alyssa Churchill

Ballet Repertoire

Alyssa is originally from Ontario where she grew up training in RAD. In 2019 Alyssa moved to Calgary to join the Alberta Ballet School’s post-graduate program to further her ballet training. Alyssa joined the Alberta Ballet Company in 2021 and has been dancing professionally with the company for the past 3 ½ years. She just finished her final production with the company in their recent production of La Sylphide where she debuted the roles of ‘Effie’ and ‘Two Sylph’. She has performed many famous classical repertoires such as Swan Lake, Giselle, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker. Her most memorable role is performing the soloist role of the ‘Fairy of Joy’ in The Sleeping Beauty. Alyssa has also worked with numerous world-renowned contemporary choreographers including Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Alysa Pires, and Nicolo Fonte. Alongside her professional career, Alyssa has had the pleasure of sharing her love for dance with others through teaching. She has taught many pre-professional ballet, pointe, conditioning, and adult ballet classes throughout the community. Outside the studio, Alyssa is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology online through Queens University and working on completing her Early Childhood Education (ECE) certifications.
